jetwashed engine won't start

hi can anyone help just replaced the head gasket on my 97 300tdi all running fine changed the oil & filter then decided to jet wash it got a bit carried away (it looks lovely now) started it up it coughed & spluttered & then died it's now showing check engine light any ideas please it will start but it sounds like it's missing theres no water in the air filter so is there something that iv'e missed thanks ricky

check all the wiring connectors

wet air filter and maybe some electric connectors. Spray all your electric connectors with wd40,as you got water in them

As john says spray every electrical with WD40 give it a few hours then start

Blow out your alternator with a air hose also.

thanks everyone sprayed all the connectors i can see i'll leave it overnight to dry out completely i hope

It's easy to jet wash off the spade connectors on either the fuel cut off solenoid or the exciter on the starter ... first one will turn over and not fire, second one diddly squat!

He's probably just jetwashing the excess wd40 off first.

It starts left it for 24 hrs bloody thing started straight away
thanks to all I won't wash it again
