I've not got the horn (working)

Have wired up a switch for now as I have replaced the knackered series three indicator stalk for an original series two one so need to reinstate the central horn push in the steering wheel. Does anyone know how to connect the horn, I have had a look and the push horn works, negative to earth is fine but the positive wire connects to? Has a wire that comes out of the dust thingy but if I connect it to the wire leading to the horn it will just wrap itself round when I turn a corner?
Am I being thick???

center horn have a brass collar around column which act as a slip ring for horn feed

might vary depending on the year

Gonna be easier and cheaper to replace the column switch with a S3 one.
