Well with the volvo getting binned and the discovery being rather extortionate on insurance the hunt was on for a new daily driver!
Was going to get a 90 but a lwb is far more practical for us.........then this cropped up on ebay about 50 miles from me.
Its a 109 ex military from 1975, released in 1983. The tubs been cut and extended by the army to be able to carry a standard military 1 tonne pallet!
Anyway other than the body mods its fitted with a low mileage 200tdi (65k) with the full intercooler setup, brand new clutch, new Sam's trim seats, inertia reel harnesses, mint chassis, bulkhead and a nice long mot plus it goes tax exempt next year!
On the to do list is sort the overheating issue (goes to 3/4 on the dial)........it only does it when going up/downhill or round corners quickly and at the same time the volt gauge turns itself off so its looking like a bad earth to me or possibly a sender issue on the temp side of things
Anyway pics
And on top of that one he also has this series one as a daily driver!
