Why sell just sort the problems and save yourself a lot of money??

looks good to me, do you think RRC is fault free? just spent half of weekends laning with Gonzo's on the jack, how much 4 yours anyway?

I kow how you feel. Pretty much replaced everything on mine except the chassis. New Power Steering pump fitted today and now just lots of squeal and no PAS...ffs!

You must be joking? You've just spent all that time, money and effort on getting it exactly how you want it and you may well end up giving it away, you'll certainly make a loss. Worst of all though is the feeling that you'll get about a month after you've sold it. I on the other hand, was lucky enough to be able to buy mine back. At the end of the day its up to you but I really hope you dont regret it. You've got a decent truck there with a few minor problems at most.

Keep it .................. youve done loads of work to her already .... so a few seals and ball joints etc wont do it any harm . its what owning a landy is all about -- making it better ---making it YOURS ........ and living with its quirks .

You Will kick yourself after u sold it , I still do about my old S11 v8 and that was 6 yrs ago !!!

Dont Sell it I say .........................

.

Jeez ..

I understand where you're coming from, but I'd say persevere with it. OK, it'll break down again somehow, they all do that sir, but you've done almost everything on it now, haven't you?

OTOH, the way it looks it ought to fetch a tidy price, no matter what the mileage/age etc ... but to swap a Defender for a RR because of reliability seems like frying pan into fire to me ... ;)

My guess is, as said above, you'll regret it if you sell.

Wot the others say. Keep it. If you cant face working on it put it away for a month or so and go back to it later with a clear mind.
Sold my SIIa SWB petrol because my old lady was preggers and kept complaining about the ride. I never got over it. Should have sold her and not the motor. :);)

hi guys thanks for all the replys sorry i wasnt around to respond i was doing the dj fing last night..

im not selling the 90 to get the rrc hoping the rr will be maintenance/fault free i know that aint gonna happen..

as you all know ive spent an absoulute fortune on the 90,and ive just lost the sense of entusiasm and passion i had for the 90 i used to absoulutely love it,now i just dont..

im plannin to bobtail the rr and fit 35" tyres etc.

will see what the weekend brings and go from there

LOL .. fed up messin' with the def, so gonna bobtail a RR .. no messin' with that mans logic ... ;)

Wish I had some spare dosh, I really like what you did to that Defender .. :(

If you cannot get a Defender reliable - not that hard assuming its not shagged to start with - then good luck with a RRC.

I know which one I would prefer having owned both...............

RRC lovely but fatally flawed as they get newer the engineering just gets more precarious.

just to clarify its not a reliability issue with either models..its all to do with the fact ive lost the enthusiasm for the defender and want another challenge and summit different.

my defender has wanted for nothing ive just spent £500 having all the bits done yesterday..

obviously the range rover will have to be painted tangiers orange:biggrin1:

Swap your Defender for my Disco .. ;)

What engine's in the Defender?
