Is XYZ switch is this the cause of my problem

Hi
My car doesn't start, and it the symptoms is as if I'm still in gear, I have move my gear stick about, and its sometimes worked, other times when the car is just left its decided to work, see my other thread.
Any ideas....cheers!

Possibly, what gear position indications are you getting on the message centre? If you are getting correct position indications grab a multi meter and follow starting and charging trouble shooting guide in RAVE.

Thanks, I have a copy of RAVE, but haven't seen a trouble shooting section attached to gearbox section, which section of the manual would I find this list.
I've been looking in Auto gearbox to solve my problems.

Well once I thought I had found the problem, I thought asking about the xyz switch, I would get replies from members who had experiences of the same starting troubles.
