Pub, what's that? Vaguely remember pubs.....
If yer concerned about peeps laffin at yer backwards fitted winch, dun't buy a Freelander.I can't see who installed it has anything to do with this, I wasn't looking to "blame" anyone and I certainly didn't take offence, merely expressed mild irritation at being laughed at for asking a straightforward question. Now you roll your eyes at me....classy.
Maybe take a look at how others have tried to help and be informative and how it's possible to have friendly and civilised exchanges?

Or what about those vehicles that are so ashamed at having a winch at all you cannot even see it? Just a bit of cable with a shackle on it poking out of a grill thing, like a chameleon's tongue?!If yer concerned about peeps laffin at yer backwards fitted winch, dun't buy a Freelander.

I was about to say something about ones on those little off roaders what are they called? begiins with an "F"? That sit underneath and can be used both back and front. Never knew you had such kit! Nice! And no it don't look like a chameleon, more like a bulldog eating a thin string of sausages!View attachment 213788
