Forget all that with all the gadgets if you stalled it you probably wont get it started as the batteries would be flat :), that alone would stop you using it for any overlanding... I am sure it would last long in a rest stop whilst you pop in for a pee and a Croque monsieur.

I think its too much of a liability for anyone to use from a rescue perspective (you know how it is now), and also I can see many testers failing it just for the obstruction to the windscreen and stilly things like a 2kg Maglite right in front of the passengers face held by a clip.. I am sure that would go down well in the event of a front on collision from a third party.

I hope whomever is unfortunate enough to acquire has a mighty strong garage though.

This feels a little like too much time and too much money and before you know it the solution is over-engineered. I just don't understand night vision in the visor.... why ? so you can see what's in front of you.. how about closing your visor and turn the lights on ?

Totally agree with the maglight.

The puma hood with cut outs on a V8 stickered body ... Is it a V8? It mentions a remap.

Molle stuff on the outside will just get nicked/knocked off/wet/dirty and the grills will be a bugger to clean*
The strobe lights and rescue stickers scream wannabe. Unless he is part of the Camberley mountain rescue that is.
There are a few good ideas and some just taken too far. That goes for the price too.

*some landies do get cleaned.

Yeah I suppose a joystick directed spot could be kinda cool...

But it's just too much, any prospective buyer should be aware of the Swiss cheese of drilled holes and rivnuts that will result when they remove it to sane levels.

And think of all the drill swarf laying about in the internals screwing with seals, corroding, plugging up drain points etc.

I might send the bloke a link to this thread on fleabay.

Ask him if there are any cup holders?

Edit: Ahhh, jeez I dunno what's wrong with me bagging his stuff - I hope he was/is happy with it!

Good luck to a fellow Defender owner :)
