Is a 130 CSW up to the job?

We need to replace our ageing Audi A3 as it's struggling with all the materials & tools & other rubbish I cart about in it.

I've always wanted a 130 and am trying to justify getting one.

Basically it needs to carry a lot of tools & materials most of the time. But sometimes it will need to take my twin 2-year-old boys, ie. it needs two child seats.

I thought a 130 CSW might be the answer, but I didn't know if the second row seats could be folded away when not carrying the boys to create more space for work.

My partner thinks another MPV would be more practical. We already have a Seat Alhambra which we take the boys in, and sometimes we remove 2 or 5 seats to cart large items around. It is a great car and I would be prepared to get another one, but I have to know a 130 would not be as good.

I also feel that a Land Rover would be a lot easier to maintain than a computer-controlled modern MPV.

Any advice will be gratefully received.

My benchmark is that I managed to get a 6'3" church pew in the Seat with 5 seats taken out.

If a landy can do that, it'll do!
