IRD early fail signs

Was good couple of inch wobble and its was the shaking u was considered about most sort of learning on the go with this all but no noise if there was noise would have gone and got the wrecker to pic it up
 
Well heard back today about the freelander and ird vcu and rear diff all in perfect working order had gear and ird oil changed no bits in it they have but it down to break sticking on and the traction control nipping on which cause the knocking sound on round about. They have sorted breaks taken it for test drive and can't get it to replicate the problem. So that's all good news
 
That's good news. I'm curious how they tested the VCU?
The TC won't intervene as it doesn't use a 3 accelerometer yaw sensor like a modern vehicle with ESP. For the TC to kick in on the FL1, a wheel actually has to loose grip and spin, which you'd know about.
It's good that it's working again though and it was a simple fault to fix.

Had the vcu out done bench test they have been over her very strictly. I could not ask for a better service.
