iPhone music connection to L322

I'm sure this must have been covered but I couldn't find anything. I've just bought a 2012 RR with a 30 pin iPhone connector. I imagined simply switching to an 8 pin lead would have been straightforward, but apparently not, the don't seem to exist - that just seems very odd!

The phone pairs remotely well enough, but I cant find a way to a proper music interface without using the mini jack, which is far from ideal

Whats the best way to do it?
