Hello everyone,

My name is Scott and I am a landroveraholic!
I am a certified Heavy Duty Mechanic, Commercial Transport (HGV) Mechanic, Automotive Mechanic and Motorcycle Mechanic.
I am having fun with my 1999 D1 and to the chagrin of my wife, removing the 4.0 V8 and installing a TD5.

I am a little remiss with the Land rover D2 service manual and the lack of wiring schematics. Does anyone have a wiring schematic for the D2 td5?

I have a couple of questions,
1- What are the jumpers for in the witing harness? The red one that goes to the fuel pump and sending unit.
2- What are the wiring colours for the water in fuel sensor?

I seem to have most other things figured figured out.

Cheers and thanks

Scott

Welcome Aboard :)

Another vote for some pics ;)

I wish you luck with the TD5 install - too modern for me :)

I am also certified (not mechanics). It helps when fixing Landys. How long have you had the bug D1, any pics?

Welcome :)
Going on 3 years now. I was a Land Cruiser Fanatic for 30 years, however, my last land cruiser is a small pile of rust. it was a 1972 FJ40, I installed a 350 fuel injected V8 into it and a SM420 transmission to toyota transfercase, detroit lockers f+r, disc brakes all way around. I did venture into the 4 wheel steering but got pulled off the road and sent for a safety inspection. Ultimately had to remove rear steeering axle.

I am not going to go crazy with the D1 as my wife actually likes it. I installed my winch under the radialtor last year, installed new Boddington springs all way round, bilstein shocks. Now the truck goes all sorts of places, just not past a petrol station. 4.0 V8 is very thirsty, hence the reason going with TD5.
