Welcome to LZ. Come over to the Freelander-specific area if you want to ask questions and bring your pics. We like car pics. Sad, isn't it? :D

I bought the 1st manual one for £200. 80k and can be a bitch to start when hot, but only if you touch the throttle until the idle RPM has come up. It's a car to take the dogs out, and the interior reflects that damp-dog smell on a rainy day! I took the prop shaft off last year because it was costing me more in tyres that diesel. Its lovely to drive with 2WD. The couplers/bearings either side of the viscus were non existent.

The automatic one was given to me a couple of weeks back. 90K It was going to be scrapped but it had 2 new tyres on it, and plenty of other good bits. It runs and drives fine, but rattles like a bitch on rag-week, but only at idle.
I joined this forum because I read a thread about what to do if too much oil had been put in. Hod on to your skids chaps. Last night, with a 100ml syringe, I removed SIX LITRES of oil. "Goodness Me" I thought to myself!!!!
I need to investigate the engine rattle from the RHS though. It really is quite loud.

Greedy? No
Gullible? Yes
Stupid? ......leave it.

Don’t worry we won’t go there:)

There’s only 2 driving licenses in this house with 4 LR (1not running) you could call it an addiction so don’t worry it’s not stupid, well maybe;)
