Interior lights stay on!

Hey Guys,
I'm sure I'm asking to be laughed at here, but here goes!
The Interior lights in my '99 defender stay on when the doors are closed? It's never happened before, so I dunno whats happened recently, any Ideas?

And yes , I have checked that the switch is in the middle and not "ON" permanently!

Any help would be appreciated.

check the door switch i suspect its a simple device that is prone to shorting out

Cheers Guys,

I half suspected the door switches, but I only had a quick look (had to get into work) will have to do some further investigation this evening!
