Not really noticed before but the clock on the top of the dash- does it do anything except tell the time?

I was just puzzled on the head unit not having any screen or anything. Wondering if its linked with the clock not displaying properly. Its like got random lines on it.

Does it have anything to do with the HU?
 
Yes the radio stations should show up on the clock - if the clock display is in bits there's a fix on here - have a search and you will find it.
 
Can't remember what I put in now but I eventually got to the same one as brack just linked you too. Sounds like the problem I've got on mine. So should be an easy fix.
 
On eBay I saw clocks with different amount of pins on the back. I've also seen some headings with screens on. If it makes any difference mine is the es spec with tape player up front and cd changed below the seat.
 
no problem just like to help if I can ,I do not know everything about Freelander's but this site is a big learning curve, and I have made a few mistakes but don't we all.
