Mot'd the 90 last week, its a 200, mot guy told me as it has the white sticker on the bulkhead showing the letters 1.30 that's now the max smoke limit for that car, as I'm sure most 200 owners will tell you that's getting on for unachievable!
Mot guy also said if the sticker was not present :whistle then they would have to revert to the old 3.00 max smoke limit which it can do no issues, it actually pulled a 2.00.

To be fair, there cannot be many 200/300 that have not had the bulkead messed with, so there is a good chance the sticker is long gone, apparently newer motors have the number as part of the vin plate.

If any 300/TD5 owners could look at their plate, it would be interesting for all to know?

Aye, interesting that. I think I can remember that sticker. My original bulkhead is long gone and that sticker with it. The print off you get from the test done for MOT has the limit on. I'd have to go and look to see what mine said.

If that is the case then probably worth removing it so he tester has to default to the 3.0 limit, might save a bit of hassle ilater?

Will have to check that and remove it! Mine has a late model 300tdi bulkhead on it but has an early 200tdi engine. I don't want it measure against a more modern emissions standard even if the engine is capable of achieving it..

I should add my engine was cold, as test station is less than a mile from my house and there was no set mot time, it was dump it and fit it in when they could, then ring me to collect, so could not run it up to operating temp as I normally would.

Yeah, yeah, no need to get jealous, we believe you... I do use that Millers diesel additive with every fill up, it definitely makes the old lump run smoother.
