Edited to add...
I have read a lot of forums where people talk huge amounts of crap.
It annoys me when people post but don't actually answer or help your initial post seemed like you tried to make youreslf sound an expert, when a simple What are the details of your instal" would of sufficed.
Sorry Red Hand but your advice on an air scoop was pants.
I don't wish to reveal my background as I like to remain anonymous, but I'm pretty confident on matters such as these.
The odds of it being ridiculously non standard to warrant my comment wrong is very very small. The engine would have to be in the back for your comments re truck cab mounting to be valid. (Current instal is viscous so rad infront of engine). I acknowledge that if the intercooler is behind the rad, then it may change things. However, if this is its location then the vehicle will be compromised for normal road going.
I don't want to get into thread spats, but feel you are being exceptionaly pedantic to prove a point. A so called lap top warrior if you will.
Peace Out Bro
Well
A: you obviously have no idea how this forum runs. (mainly on ****taking with a dash of good advice thrown into the mix towards the end)
B: the intercooler in a landy has no fan, and the viscous fan has no effect on the intercooler. It works entirely on airflow during Movement. Because the turbo is idle at low revs.
C: if the OP had asked what effect the placement of the intercooler would have on the cooling capability of the rad. Then he might have got a proper answer., but his question was irrelevent because the viscous fan has no effect on the intercooler at all.
And there is the serious answer for this thread. Happy now.
 ming requiredWOW!
Couple of points.
Chur...thanks for the civilised, balanced response to my query. Something and somewhere new members of this `community` forum, may hope to seek knowledge, advice, experience and camaraderie from those who have it.
I`m only sorry you got dragged into an unsavoury `healthy discussion`.
The reason any post of mine may be vague is because I dont have the information/details to offer. I simply dont know.
If one person can see what I`m getting at, then its not so obscure a question is it?
This is a good and helpful forum when its at its best and being responded to by pleasant and tolerant people. At its worst, some need to remember that they once needed to learn from others, and be more tolerant.
Unfortunately, there are a number of `senior members` on here ( you know who you are), who feel superior and are way too intolerant of newbies. An almost permanent Mr Angry syndrome exists in some, which comes over as dismissive and intolerant to the point of rudeness. This amounts to nothing but forum bullying by the old school members. Be under no disillusionment, you do put members off asking questions at all, something maybe the Moderators need to take on board. If redhand, or TMHM, had offered `the viscous fan has no effect on the intercooler at all`, then the question was answered without all the unpleasantness. I believe there was enough info posted. You can always ask for more info, I`ll tell you what I know, if it helps you give me the answer I need.
Sorry for the rant but some negative responses are unnecessary and out of order. We are all here for our love of Landy`s, lets try and help each other without getting personal.

Do yu want an honest assessment or do you want us to, at best, second guess an answer?
You have had both - take your pic - at the end of the day, what I or anyone else says is irrelevant - you have to suffer the consequences.
