Hello all from Brian (BJ) - I am new aboard - have 2001 td4 and need to replace the intercooler hose on the driver side (the long and awkward one) any tips would be much appreciated.

Brian,

Just signed up myself today, so you are more senior than me. I had the same problem 2 or 3 weeks ago. Went to a garage who made a temporary repair. Just order a new hose off of e-bay -(genuine Land Rover part - cost £26 including postage). I will fit this myself. You just need to unscrew the 2 large jubilee clips, pull off the old hose and replace with the new hose and then tighten up the jubliie clips. Unscrewing the top jubilee clip is easy, the bottom one is slightly more fiddly.

Hope this helps

Replaced mine tonight with silicone pipe. Not easy to get at the bottom clip but managed to get a 6mm socket on it after i had took the top clip off and forced the pipe out of the way.
