Keep in mind the insurance industry has been getting tougher on this for a while now.
I'm not saying all of this will happen- but some will, all of it could happen.
If they find the main driver isn't the main driver, and the additional driver was, they will cancel the policy- no you will not be automatically entitled to a refund they may calculate how much the policy should have been in the name of the additional driver then go from there), they will ban you from that company, and any other companies owned by them, they may do the same for the policy holder who lied to them. They may share that intelligence with other insurers, and may pass it to the police with a view to pressing charges under fraud, so both parties end up with a criminal record. Immediately meaning most insurers will refuse to even quote for them.
You'd have to be unlucky toget foud out, but if you do, you have tounderstand the consequences.
