Is anyone else finding the P38 has become almost uninsurable?
Living in the Croydon area, the normal online compare insurance policies are £1000+
Classic car insurance is even more expensive. Just been quoted £1500 by one of the big name classic car insurance firms.
They think it's a combination of the Croydon area, prices increasing generally (which has resulted in fewer options) and the Range Rover having a bad name for theft.
A P38 in terms of risk of accident and theft is pretty low.
It's a slow car that's hard to steal with little value.
It should be an insurers dream and one of the cheapest cars to insure.
What's going on?
Anybody faced similar problems and ground a workaround?
My premium last year was £500 using Comparethemarket.
