Insurance issues.

I'm having problems getting insurance sorted on my truck. It's a 90 v8 but been built from range rover bits. Logbook is all accurate but insurance companies are saying it comes up as a range rover on the number plate.

Just tried compact the monkey and it indeed shows up as a range rover. Any suggestions? Surely a copy of the v5 would do?

go onto goverment site..google check my vehicle as thats the data base police.. ins..use, when i put private plate on mine it took 48 hrs to show..if it says rangerover but v5 says freelander or defender ring them, as if they issued the vd the data base has to show whats on v5

V5 says following

Make: Land Rover

As it's had a conversion to v8

then send a copy to insurance..even fax it. ring dvla.. monday ..tell them you mess sort it ..i cant get ins..they may ring your ins for you..mine came back as a moped for first 48 hrs ..till i did what i just said..ring em..told them im charging them travelling expenses for every day it takes them to sort it..

Thanks. I'll speak to DVLA. They may well say v5 is correct and update the online widget thing that insurance is using
