Insurance disco 1 300tdi

Hi,

I am having issues getting insurance for my 1999 land rover discovery 300tdi.

I am 28 years old and currently insured on a 1987 90 for around the 350 mark full comp with Adrian flux. this has the same modifications such as a lift tyres bumpers winch snorkel steering spot light and guards underneath.

The discovery is coming out around 850 third party fire and theft.

What do you guys advise is on yours when contacting insurance companies, everything or just main bits. Also any advice on who else to contact.

I had mine insured yesterday for £750 third party fire and theft with Adrian flux its gone up quite a bit as when i received a quote in March it was only £545 for the exact same policy that is with all the extras aswell so i cant really complain i am only 24 though and that with a 1995 v8 disco 1 where about do you live?

I got mine with aviva multicar .
Megane and disco about 500 p/a fully comp
....... I am an old fart though !!!

Hi,

If you drop me a PM with your details I will take a look into this to see if anything can be done to reduce it, or failing that at least try and find out why it is that much more expensive than the 90.

Hopefully your 90 insurance won't get bumped up
