which fuses did you check? and did you check the fuse box itself. sometimes the base of the connector can get corroded.

Silly thought, you haven't turned the light level right down by any chance?all the lights on my dashboard have stopped working but the speed alarm still works it doesnt seem to be a fuse any ideas would be great
