Hi guys looking for help somewhere of the warning lights are not working on the instrument cluster have tried a swap with another one. But it's still the same does anyone know what colours in the multiplug relate to what items are illuminated on the dash I'm thinking it may be a broken wire or a few thanks in advance

What light isn't working? The Ipack is mostly software driven, so the wiring going to it is power and data cables.

I'm missing the engine , oil another one can't remember what one and the and the ice low temperature warning is on constant everything else seems to be ok
What year is it?
From memory, the engine light warning comes from the ECM via the CAN line. I think the oil light is a simple low / high signal from the oil pressure switch, but I'd need to look at the wiring diagram to confirm.
The outside temperature signal comes from the CJB as a data on the medium speed bus.
However this could be dependent on year of the the vehicle.

Presumably you know the light doesn't come on because of the startup tests when all the lights are lit.

Has someone butchered the LED to get it through a MOT?

Will it fail a MOT if it does not illuminate on the self test?

In doing that took out the oil LED, or butchered that to because it has a faulty oil pressure/level sensor and they wanted to sell it on 'without any faults'.

Hi guys thanks for the advice / help it's a 2013 plate and the other Half's car had it for ages never been butchered as far as I know just started with alot of electrical faults Lights not working bulbs popping alot of the usual crap run of the mill stuff

I've had a dig through the wiring diagram, and as suspected, everything light and gauge wise is supplied by a data line on the medium speed data bus. The ECM sends data through the CJB to be forwarded on to the Ipack, or wherever else the data needs to go. I'd start by checking the electric connections on the CJB and ECM, and all the fuses in the engine bay fuse box.

Do these lights come on on a self test.

When I get in my F2, I put the key/fob in the reseptical, foot on brake, press the start button and it fires up. I'm not sure if it does a self test on the bulbs.

I just did a test. I put the fob in and pressed the start button. This puts the car into the olde worlde 'Acc' key position where the radio comes on. I then did a long hold of the button and this puts it into olde worlde 'Ignition On' position. When this happens all the LEDs light up on a self test.

Do yours come on for this?

I can not imagine these lights need any individual comms with other components to do a self test.
