Going to be doing my wiring for several bits and pieces soon.

I've fixed the fog-light with an LED one to pass the MOT. But now I'm going to try and step up things.

On installing a cut-off switch I'm wondering on the job itself.

Here's my understanding of it. Which is totally wrong probably and hence why I'm asking the guru's on here :)

1. Cut Negative wire going into the battery and solder a thick wire onto the end.
It's pretty thick so this is concerning me on tieing it into a switch housing later.

3. Use at least a 16 Amp rated switch minimum??

4. Select a position (hidden as best as possible) for it.

5. Run the output wire back to the battery housing and join/solder it onto the terminal wire.

Has anyone done it this way?
