Injector Adjustment Query

I have rebuilt the head on Disco TD5 which had cracked injector housing. I was advised to back it off one and half turns in stead of one turn.

After bleeding system the engine did start and run for a minute or so but keeps cutting out. It will restart and then cut out again, and so on..

Does anybody have ideas on if the extra half a turn makes a difference?

Or any other advice on this is welcome too.

did you put the injectors back in the same order they were before...cos if not you must insert the codes in the ECU with tester before you go further with the diagnosis...though this would'nt cut out just give rough running...i dunno much about mechanics to tell you if the rocker adjustment would disturb so bad the running...but i dont see why adjust it different like the book sais

did you do everything like in the official procedure?:

7. Rotate engine clockwise until No 1 injector lobe
is at full lift.
8. Rotate rocker adjusting screw clockwise until
the injector plunger is felt to bottom out.
9. Rotate rocker adjusting screw anti-clockwise
one complete turn to give plunger the required
bump clearance and tighten rocker arm
adjusting screw locknut to 16 Nm (12 lbf.ft) .
CAUTION: Ensure screw does not turn as
locknut is tightened.
10. Carry out above procedure for the remaining 4
rocker arms.
11. After completion of rocker arm adjustment,
slowly rotate engine clockwise 2 complete
turns by hand to ensure that no injectors are
bottoming out on their plungers.

Hi there @sierrafery thank you for your response - I did exactly as you suggested and at least it is good to know that I got that bit right - but am still trying to figure out what I need to do now. :confused2:

purge it 3 - 4 times more... it could be an airlock there
