Heres some progress shots of the respray...

Hopefully be finished sometime next week and well on its way to becoming another urban'ish defender

Before....








Some mods done but Pre Paint...











In Paint....









Getting painted in Epsom Green metallic, Black roof, smoothing and repainting front and back bumper/crossmember in black....

LED Lights, RDX grille set etc all waiting for it....

Currently have 2 sets of rock sliders (long story) but think I'll end up selling them on and getting side steps instead...

Looks good, but why have they left the front indicator/side lights in and masked round them when everything else has been removed?
 
Looks good, but you will have loads of overspray in the wheel arches. I'm getting mine done hopefully over the winter or next spring but it will be a body off job.

He's removed loads of the masking so he could roll it out of the spray booth…
There's no overspray :)

Yes, 1500 all in.

Also changing out my windscreen rubbers for me...

He's very well respected in the area and typically charges 2k to 2.5k for a full top class job but I explained to him that I didn't need the level of detail that he'd normally go to, told him not to bother with filling in some of the dents etc.... So we agreed on a good but not necessarily perfect finish for the 1500

But he's gone and done it all anyway, filled in the dents, flattened out areas and I think ill end up with a much better finish that the 1500 warranted....:car:
 
Yes, very nice job, he went the extra mile for me. Ended up doing a bit of wax oiling where there was a little overspray underneath plus changed out windscreen and seals etc, replaced all the wheel arch spat fixings, front bumper and rear crossmember in gloss black etc... all additional to what we agreed for the £1500 but he wouldnt take any more for it.

Well chuffed!!

Now have to get my head around installing the LED lights, i bought them from Boltonbits thinking they were direct plug and play replacements... turns out theres a bit of wiring & splicing needed..... A job for Saturday

I fitted some of their led brake lights, I cut the connector and used bullet connecters and crimping tool. It was easier to cut into the old lights wires instead of pulling the oridgional bullet connecters out as the wire snapped leaving the bullet bit still in. Yours might pull out OK tho. It was an easy job but the holes where in different position to the oridgionals so had to drill new ones. They look great tho well worth it!

Towing duties, weekend runs to the tip, taking dog to woods etc... Got other cars for daily commute. Not really into the off-roading or green landing....

Though I did get a bit lost tonight in deepest darkest Perthshire and sat nav took me down a forest lane that wouldn't look out of place in a 4x4 magazine.

Should have taken a pic to show off....:D
