Improving Defender Headlights

I want to try to improve the pathetic headlights on me 200TDi Deepender.
It's mainly dip beam - the 2 100W spots come on with full beam so that's not a problem. Switching back from full to dip is like being plunged into the black hole of Calcutta.

Are these worth a try, or can someone recommend sommat else?

I found that the Xenon upgrades gave a bluer whiter light - but not necessarily any more light, if yu know wot i mean?

aye - I fitted a pair on me hippoo years ago, and thought the same.
but shirley, anyfinks gorra be betta than the candles that are on it now!

i put sum halo,s on me series before i sold it ,very impressive,yellow tint to em
you might be able to mek em out in the piccie

and thinking back i,ve seen em at mm4x4 but they were white crystal instead of the yellow £40 ish

Any idea what makes them better? Higher wattage? Different colour temperature? Better reflector shape?
I can see the yellow tinge, but can't imagine how that makes any difference.

i think it were a better reflecter pattern cus it were all in the chrome bowl,the lenses were clear with no pattern in it,i think i payed £35 for em
from what i recall i used standard wattage bulbs cus it were 24v

nowt much wrong with the (dare ah say Britpart) halogen convertion kit, got these in mine and deffo a big improvement

resurrecting this one cos I aint decided what to do yet.

has anyone used these? are they any good / better than standard?

ses they aint E marked so legally ya cant use um on motors med after 1986 i think it is,still nice though and similar to them halo ones i showed ya
