Hi, sorry for my first post being a technical one, but i bought a 300tdi and it ran well untill today.
I used it earlyer and it was fine, went out to use it just before and tryd to unlock it with the key fob and nothing happened, so i unlocked it with the key and the alarm went off, the fob still wouldnt work to turn it off, i tryd to start it and wont start because of the fob and now with the key out of the ignition the battery light, oil light and immobiliser light are still lit even when i lock the doors.
I have disconnected the battery and connected it back still nothing.
Does anyone have any ideas what could be going on with this?

You could try changing the battery in the fob for a new one. Do a search on here for how to reprogram it when you have the new battery in

you may have a problem, changed my battery in me 2 btn fob yesterday cos battery failed i pressed the unlock on the fob a few times and it wer fine....dint av any lights on dash of nuffin tho

i changed the battery twice for two new ones, still nothing, the dash lights still wont turn off and the immobiliser light is still flashing all with the ignition turned off and key out.

but after putting battery in have you pressed unlock a 3-4 times?

yeah, went out just now and tryd it nothing still. put the key in the ignition and the alarm went off!

i dunno then but with the lights staying on i reckon it aint just the fob at fault, ther'll be someone along soon with some idea...hopefully

yeah i hope as i havent a clue why the lights are staying on??

faulty ignition switch or something back feeding it.

just noticed the battery light is very dim with the ignition off but brightens up when turned on. but still doesnt explain why the fob isnt working either?
is there anyway the alarm and immobiliser can be removed or dissabled altogether?
