I've seen them cheaper somewhere (i think around the 70EUR mark) not sure where though, i'll have to report back when i'm on my laptop tonight. Pretty sure they were Ireland based.
 
Quick update...thanks to everyone who has contributed to this thread.
Garage had it on ramp today, in gear, engine running. Could barely hear the noise, and I'm sure the mechanic thought i was a numpte. However, you were all correct. Turned out to be a failed VCU bearing-front one. Just four weeks old!!
Anyway now in mondo mode for the rest of the year...much better performance!!
