If you really thought a lot of her you could always buy her a Toyota Landcruiser. No bloody present either.

Now come on, don't try talking sense to this lot, they like spending their spare cash on petrol, spare parts and workshop labour costs, why would you want to give all that good stuff up for a nice modern car that is fuel efficient, very on and off road capable and looks like it belongs to the 21st century.Three years warranty, 40+ mpg, drives like a mini on steroids, you’re all jealous and in denial !
I hear lots of good, We chatted with a lady who also had 110 Defender as a "play" vehicle and she had an Evoque and was very happy with it on a par with her Defender. Sure she didn't take it to the rough stuff. But do you "orf road" in your Defender because its a Defender or because its 20 years oldThree years warranty, 40+ mpg, drives like a mini on steroids, you’re all jealous and in denial !

It isn't a range rover and IMO it's butt ugly..
Hmmmmm let me think......................If you really thought a lot of her you could always buy her a Toyota Landcruiser.

Like all green oval all that wonderfulness won't last long. The difference is the rest of us (with exception of FL owners) will be left with vehicles that still look good and will do the 4x4 job we bought them for, and will worm their way into our hearts, so we do continue the upkeep. Whilst ejoke owners will run away crying to a different marque the moment they realise a 3yr old green oval is where it all starts. Ejokes will then become the modern day equivalent of the Volvo 480

There is that. I still think it is the LR equivalent of the 480. Volvo took a massive leap into 'the future', when they released it. The Volvo faithful were, mainly, aghast at the horror of it. I must admit I was one of the faithful, but also very young , and I lusted after one. That didnt last long, as soon as I got a glimpse of a 7 series The 480 is now a nearly forgotten deviation in their history, with most of them gone and it rarely seen on the roads. Most Ejoke "owners" will probably just turn them in on their lease deals after 3 years, and move on to whatever shiny thing takes their fancy next.
And that is a nother reason I hate them (and their owners), cos it is not about the heritage and history with Ejoke owners - it is about the badge, and that, for me , is not why I drive a Range Rover .......Most Ejoke "owners" will probably just turn them in on their lease deals after 3 years, and move on to whatever shiny thing takes their fancy next.
Just like the previous owners of the lot on here's Rangies did, unless they've owned them from new, and that would indeed be rare, (who keeps a Range Rover from new?). And the "used" Evoque will probably bring with it as many problems to it's subsequent owners as the the financial grief that these Rangies bring. And to claim the Evoque is not really a Range Rover is bizarre, it's as "Range Rover" as any one made after the "original", (and best), the Classic. Most Ejoke "owners" will probably just turn them in on their lease deals after 3 years, and move on to whatever shiny thing takes their fancy next.
So you currently own a Classic then? And that is a nother reason I hate them (and their owners), cos it is not about the heritage and history with Ejoke owners - it is about the badge, and that, for me , is not why I drive a Range Rover .......
I drive them because I love the brand heritage, because I love reading about their history and because I love the feeling I get when I drive them.....Range Rover could be branded the Land Rover Sh!tBox, but I would still love it - the ejoke was put to market to just be a money maker (which, don't get me wrong companies need to make money and follow trends etc) which to me is not what Range Rover was all about....
Not currently....So you currently own a Classic then?
Please Sir, I wish to give this a thousand likes, where is that button?I don't think there's any argument that it is probably a very nice car. The only argument is about the Range Rover decal being used on it.
Not really doing anything to get a bite, in fact I admire to some extent your choice to own and preserve what I believe to be a great car for it's time, it's the fantasy concept that you and some others contend that an Evoque "is not a Range Rover", simply by the fact it was made by the Rover car company, (or whatever the name is that builds Rovers these days, some Indian mob?), and wears the badge, and from what I have read is capable on and off road, and in my opinion looks the "goods" makes it what it says on the badge in my opinion. The last thing anyone who looks to buy a Range Rover should be worried about is mpg. It's crass. A tad like discussing money at a dinner party.
The reason a new Range Rover (FFRR) is a vehicle to aspire to is because it shows you dont need to worry about mpg/cost of parts/ insurance/etc. Soooooooo if , when buying an ejoke, the mpg is a selling point it shows a certain way of thinking.
I am aware your comment and comments like it made by others are done to get a bite, and have to say I don't care I can only hope that the replies may help some poor soul , who is thinking of buying one and stumbles across the site , whilst reviewing reviews or mentions on an ejoke. It may save the embarrassment of buying one and shaming their family.
