Which switch is it?

If you get a meter you should easily find which is the feed terminal, which is the aux and which is the start.

The start terminal is the one which usually has a spring return on it which will then give you a circuit to the aux position.

Exactly which swithch is it hence my question The start is the single one its broken off in the PIC but its now repaired the other three connections are dual pins

Was it originally petrol or diesel ?
The wiring is different between the two versions.
Back of switch should have some numbers 1 to 4 which relate to the diagram.

It was originally petrol
This the module that's fitted no numbers on it a single pin and three dual pins
There is no heater timer unit fitted and charging light is permanantley on
The wiring has been modded from original
Key turns 1 2 3 then spring

Mine was originally Petrol is this pic any help

Photograhed from drivers side above.
So you would need to fasten the switch in position.
White red is the wire to starter motor solenoid Behind that is the large brown which is the supply second brown wire in same place is the horn supply,The white is ignition live . The two browns at front are add on wires on my vehicle.
The diesel solenoid needs connecting to the old ignition coil supply .which was white with black tracer.
Worth putting the switch in place then just connecting the brown then turn key to 1st on position and check for voltage on the different connections the white one should come on if not turn key to starter postion then release and check again.

Cheers
Can't make out if its the same module might just get a proper one and fit a timer box and relay to many extra wires put in to get it right
