ignition wiring....help !

Hi, I have an ex mil lightweight and have had a disaster with the wiring on the ignition barrel. I replaced the barrel and made the mistake of not noting the wiring on the back of the unit. I have four wires and the back of the unit is numbered one to four. please help

Contact 1 should have either 2 blue and brown wires or 2 blue wires depending on whether it is a s2 or s3. Contact 2 should have a white wire and contact 3 should have a red and white wire with contact 4 empty.

Thanks, I shall give this a go... I have one brown, one brown/red, one white and one white/red. For info, its a s3 lightweight '79 it has also got an LPG conversion although I dont believe this will make a difference from what I have been told. Thanks

The brown and brown red should go on contact 1 the others as stated above. For some reason landrover kept changing the colours used on their wiring looms. Makes replacing it fun!!!
