ignition switch

Can a faulty switch throw up messages? Been playing up for a while. Can work fine for days, then next time nothing happens. Got the replacement parts, just need to swap it over.

Faulty ignition switch can cause all manner of problems, it's a know failure item.

Yes it's possible

I would test the voltage going through the switch first

Hiya

Where did you get to with the ignition switch

I have a multitude of errors coming up ( limited gears, handbrake, hoc ect) and this morning it wouldn't turn over

Took other key out and it worked then tried original key and that working to

OP last seen in May 2015.
Believe it was an L322.
Didn't post how he got on - or not that I could find in his posts.

Yeah it is a bit as it could save others a huge amount time
