Ignition light - faint glow

Now it's a bit darker I've spotted my ignition light has a faint glow when driving - its on a 90 with an ex-disco 200TDi - any thoughts on cause and quick fixes plse? Cheers (I loathe electrics...)

Hi Gary217,

I have a Disco 200 Tdi and also suufer from a glowing ignition light, normally after being dunked in water, The cure that I have is to spray good old WD40 into the alternator, when not running and then take for a drive. This normally works on mine.

Your diode pack is on its way out if it does it constantly at low speed and you've been nowhere near water

agreed diode pack is on its way out fairly easy to replace and a lot
cheaper than a new altenator

Think I have the same problem on my series 3. Where is best place to buy diode pack?
