defender 300Tdi ignition light coming on slightly

Now, as part of the teething problems, another problem. The wipers go dolally and won't stop when you put the stalk in the off position. I've replaced a cheap relay 5 quid chinese one with a genuine Lucas relay for 21 quid. It seemed to be ok for a few days when it wasn't snowing but now it's gone dolally again. So I then swapped the new stalk switch with an old spare one I had and it seemed to then solve the problem but again after a few days it's gone dolally again. The wipers won't switch off in the off position. Anybody ever had this?

There is a park-switch inside the wipermotor gearbox.
