ignition key

help? got 110 defender td5 with land rover immob. one of my boys set the alarm off and then f...ed about for a bit trying to turn off. now key wont turn in ignition to position 3 its solid. does the immob physically block the ignition. ive waited 30 mins and tried with second key fob but nada. the first key fob has a low battery and wont operate the flashers when you turn off alarm-is this somet to do with it? i wonder whether the key fobs are both different. stuck in drive. key worked fine before this. help?
