Hello guys. I'm having a problem with my Range Rover. Its a 1994 model. It's a classic with a 3.9ltr engine and auto box. When i go to start the car, as soon as i turn the key to postion II the fuse C3 (for the ignition coil?) blows straight away. The engine sounds like its gonna turn over but won't start, because the fuse is blown. Does anyone have any ideas where i can start fault finding? Thanks for looking at my post, and i look forward to hearing from you. Cheers, Chris.

Spooky! I'm having exactly the same problem with mine. I've cleaned up all the terminals on the coil and replaced a couple of dodgy looking earth wires, but no joy.
I'd like some enlightenment on this one too... :/
Thanks

Check the obvious first.

Make sure that there is not a short on the cable on the coil, and that all connections are clean.

Check the output from the battery when turning over the engine, should be about 14volts.

If this is ok then suspect the alternator, it is probably overcharging, the fuse is there to protect the coil from overheating.
