Hi, first time posting so I hope I’ve put this in the right place!

Any advice would be great. I have recently taken my ignition (with steering column) out of my Disco 2 as I had the common problem of the key not turning in the lock. Anyway, I can’t seem to get the actual barrel to come out of the sleeve. It seems there’s a pin holding it in but I can’t figure out how to get it out!! I was hoping to get it out to see what’s causing the key to stick.

Any help is much appreciated.

I'm pretty sure that the pin which hold the gubbins of the lock in place in the barrel has to be drilled out with a Dremel type tool.
There's plenty of videos on the tube but this one should give you some idea:-

Personally, I'd replace the lock assembly complete.

If you tap the end of the key when in the barrel it can help fix the issue.
Did on mine and was still working 8 months on.
