Hello.

I have just got a series 1 td4 freelander 5 door 2005.
I have a couple of queries which I'll post seperatly.

I am not sure if this is normal but when I lock the doors the ignition barrel light stays on all the time. Is this normal? As I would of thought it would turn off after a certain amount of time as I'm not in the car. I'm worried that the battery may drain overnight.

Thanks

I was planning on introducing myself and i will be this evening where i can put a pic up with the computer and not my phone So sorry for just joining and asking a question but I will be properly introducing myself this evening.

I am giving the search button a go. Sorry I'm new to all this. However if someone knows of a quick fix please let me know as I don't want my battery to die on me.

That particular light could be on a month and your engine would still start, it is very low amperage, just something isn' t shutting down properly, and will be a real pain to find

Thanks Freelance. In that case if it is very low amperage I won't bother as the light itself does not annoy me. And I drive it regularly so the alternator would keep it charged up.

My main concern was the battery would die on me when im about to drive to work due to that small light as I know once i left a boot light on over night a different car which was the reason it ran the battery down.
