Series 3 Ignition and electrics dead

Hello,

I need a little assistance.
My Petrol S3 1975 model has dead electrics.
Turn the key and nothing, no ignition lights- nothing.
The horn doesn't work either even tho it is effectively directly fed off of the battery.
Multimeter test across battery poles gives 12.58volts.
Test at terminal 1 in the fuse box is giving 3.59volts.

Is the starter solenoid faulty?

Start with the earth for the battery.

Check what voltage your getting at the starter solenoid, should be 12v in and out. If not 12v I’d suspect Starter solenoid.

Yep, the battery earth strap was loose and on close inspection looks pretty poor.
Got it started but new strap terminals and cleanup tomorrow.

No voltage in or out, wiggled the battery earth and there is 12.5v.

New earth strap and terminal tomorrow.
