I don't know if this as been covered before on the forum ? and if so sorry for the reparation, but I thought it would be good to have a thread for owners to Id certain parts on their FL1 -2 weather it be engine or body parts.

I will start if off asking can anyone please identify this part below top left of the photo please.

It just provides a larger volume of vacuum....if you see what I mean....as a reserve so that repeatedly pressing the brakes will not have an effect on the EGR or VNT systems or vice-versa. The vacuum pump works with engine speed (driven off the end of a camshaft) and can only provide so much vacuum for the system, and without the vacuum reservoir, it would not be able to keep up with demand under certain conditions.
