So are we thinking small organisation for disadvantaged children or similar?

Sounds good to me.
After the last one, down here in the South West, it would be good if this one could be in a different part of the country. However that not only means finding the recipients but also some-one on here who can convert the money into appropriate goods and then organise the delivery.

The last one was easy - it was started, driven along and spectacularly finished by one person.

Can always package and send recorded courier think I can do 25kg max for about £10 just need to choose.

thought about something like young carer or disadvantaged children, sort of ray of sunshine in bleak daily grind.

Only reason I suggest...our local children's hospice had a donation of £20k from fundraising from our local radio and yet I know that the young carers organisation didn't get funding from comic relief this year and I know that the group young minds which is a helpline for kids with mental health problems has had to cut its days its available. The local youth drug group has had its funding cut also

Personaly I agree with Fanny...lets choose something where our money makes a difference and they tend to be your less emotive and less pretty charities.

Also if any of these are personally known :) x

+100.they put down more than they save,RSPCA is just a glorified collection agency for the big bosses now.bastids.

I heard their spending money on trying to prosecute people caught fox hunting and stuff alike, it's not all about the poor starving puppy with cigarette burns in his back left abandoned in a shed.

I heard their spending money on employing directors and trying to prosecute people if it will make good headlines, it's not about saving the poor starving puppy with cigarette burns in his back left abandoned in a shed.

Editted for truth.

Disadvantaged/ special needs kids are always worth doing something for. Anyone got something worthwhile that they have had help from and would like to do something back for them?

RSPCA have become political, personally I prefer Dogs trust.

Okay so far
1) small charity of good standing
2) disadvantaged children or teen carers perhaps

I'm thinking Robin hood idea as in small targeted and appreciated :D

Sorry Fanny I don't think us newbs understand the plan properly ... could you please give us a bit more info :)

Just to add I think most big charities are nothing more than big business sadly :(
