The Berkshire 4x4 & motor show has raised thousands of pounds for different charities over the years, its nice to be able to give something back to the cummunittee. 2013 see us raising awareness for men's Health Prostate & Bowel Cancer, this is now I am pleased to say out in the open and talked about. Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading has a machine that operates on this type of cancer by keyhole surgery. we call this machine Robbie the robot, but the real name is The DaVinci Robot Robbie provides the latest in state of the art robotic assisted surgery which allows surgeons to perform radical surgery on various forms of cancer, predominantly prostate cancer (which already directly affects 1 in 12 males in the UK and this figure is increasing by 5% a year), using all the clinical and technical capabilities of traditional open surgery whilst enabling them to operate through the tiny incisions which characterise "keyhole" surgery.
