Have you bought one yet?
Any mods on it? I've just swapped from a 4k defender to a 2k discovery and the Disco is 150 quid more a year with fluxI just redid my insurance today with Academy. Its a third of the price I pay with Flux.
The initial quote was twice wot I was paying with Flux as I included carrying stuff for work. I was then advised to ask Academy for agricultural and then commercial (I have a commercial V5) - ended up with a 4x4 specialist. I was never asked about mods (I used to insure with Direct Line but when I had the xtra seats put in they classed that as a mod and refused to insure me). I mentioned the extra seats - they said it was fine.Any mods on it? I've just swapped from a 4k defender to a 2k discovery and the Disco is 150 quid more a year with flux

Just a standard jobber I think it was off ebay with a flywheel locking tool and fuel pump locking pin. I've also got a viscous fan spanner (the undo with opposite thead), four foot breaker bar and a Clarke electric impact gun in case the pulley bolt doesn't want to come undone. There's a really good land rover tool box video on YouTube, I'll see if I can find it....i think i will do it my self. I'm a mechanical fitter so nuts n bolts are my thing.
what timing tool do you have?
any tips n tricks?

If you buy a kit it'll come with a new belt, new type crank gear, new tensioners and a timing case gasketcheers. I'm a patreon to trailer fitter so i have the full timing video tutorial.

A Plan insurance took our membership of this forum as "club membership" for the same purposes....
