And outa my depths are right, no one on here even get this thing either i guess, looks like it need to be hooked to a computer at an expensive shop to diagnose it.
Everyone just criticizes on here, I just bought this junk like this, not my fault. I been outside everyday for 2 weeks trying to get it going now dumping money into it. Was running and now dead so I dont get it.

You came on here looking for help, you gave basic details and help was offered. People took their time and energy and tried to help , several times over. TWELVE pages in you have FINALLY given info that should have been given earlier..
It IS your fault, you bought "this junk like this". You saw someone with a much newer Range Rover and wanted one. So bought the cheapest one you could find, without any proper research.
"Bought it and now it's dead" isn't quite right. You bought it, p'd about with electrical source, whilst engine was running, now it's dead , is the bit you've told us. After days and pages of suggestions to help you, you are leaking other little bits of info.
As for "no-one on here even get this thing either " . None of us have a crystal ball. We can only go by information given. If YOU do not give the correct information , including a diagnostic read out, then WE can only try to help, using previous experience. I am sure you would not expect a medic to guess what is wrong with you, at a distance, not able to see you, with someone with no medical experience, telling them only part of your symptoms! So don't expect people thousands of miles away, to " get this thing", with the type of vaguery you have been putting out.
"Your grandma coulda told you get a battery". Would she also have told you , you are a cheapskate, all fur coat and no knickers, who buys a Range Rover and can't afford it, let alone the battery? Add to which there are two things to do when the electrics play up on a Range Rover,: check the battery and put diagnostics on it. As you couldn't afford the first, help was still offered without the second.
So it looks like you will now have to do the second of the two basics .
Perhaps you should have looked a bit more closely, into what you were buying. However, DO NOT start blaming those on here , who have freely given, their time, knowledge and energy.

How's that for criticising.

P.s just seen you have rattled the cage of one of the Gurus. This may be interesting.
 
All I was told this far is to buy a 200$ battery, when ya spend 1200 on something and it dies the next morning and won't start and this is the only vehicle ya own and have to walk and ride a bike around to get groceries for your family than ya it becomes a problem. I had no idea about these, and yes I made a mistake... I just wanted to get her going so I can work again... I have 3 kids and spent the last of money to get this and been fubared since. I coulda got a blazer or Jimmy but for the 200 more thought I was getting a good buy.... Oh and the blazers and stuff where like 1000 for a 2004. Now iam risking chance of getting kicked out if I don't have rent at end of month too. Iam getting stressed out.

Whilst all that is quite sad. The only person to blame is you, however you have attacked those on here, who have tried to help you and are still trying to help you.
We are all dealing with our own issues but try very hard, on here, to help other owners.

No you weren't only told that.. in fact as pointed out info in my opinion has been dragged out of you... I mentioned fuse 1 and all it supplied and youve only deemed it necessary to tell us that you had to replace it...why did you have to replace it... have you checked switch wiring yet?

On the other side of the pond, older cars, well yank tanks, are bit different. You can interchange parts from manufacturers, wiring is more basic, something like a Range Rover is a bit of an odd beast with parts than can be unique to the specific model, year, variant or vin number.. most in North America have been converted to coils rather than the back art of EAS, which many if us find quite simple for example. thoigh we also have coil sprung ones here too. but thats yet another thread.

He fell in love with something with a green oval that is complex and unusual and its bitten him hard. partly from trying to undo unknown electrical work.

Yes he screwed up by treating it like a Bronco, Renegade or a Suburban.

We are after all a community, we've all had issues from time to time. the OP is on steep learning curve. we'd do better to pitch in help, and show that Range Rovers are not bad as considered and the community is, well, a community, not a galdiator arena.

OP. you need to be clear, as i said before of exactly what you have done, the sequence, and what you have uncovered. had we known about the aftermarket remote start and wiring of it to the audio you probably wouldn't be advised to go off on a wild goose chase maybe tgus coud have been fixed by now and tou could be running.

There is a lot of expert knowledge on here front to back top to bottom on the RR.

As you have discovered these are complex and not yank tank engineering. The learning curve is steep and fast.

Have you downloaded RAVE yet ? You need to do that and look at the wiring diagrams.

We're here to help @Saint.V8 knows more about these than most will ever. @martyuk is an electrical yoda on these.

Hang in there, follow the advice, we'll get you running but you need to be explicit in information.

There is no lack of pride in not knowing, or screwing up. I've done it, you've done it we all have. yes, audio installs are your job, but not on these. that is a whole other world of hurt with DSP, door amps, boot amps, subs, odd driver sizes, and ohm differences. if you follow the advice here. You'll end up being a guru on green ovals for your region.

I want to share something very important, Iam 41 yrs of age and been installing stereos for shops out here ie. Future Shop and BestBuy since i was 16. Iam an electronic god for stereo systems and car starters. I even did a full stereo install on a 2017 Rangy. Here are some pics of my installs than tell me iam a retard.

Sorry, spending the last of your cash on a P38 is a bit like slow suicide, they are not cars, they are a hobby and need constant attention and quite often cash to keep them running. House and kids should have been a higher priority IMO.

And out here in Canada ya better believe I have done full stereo installs with car running for heat lmao in -30 weather. Sliding a stereo out while running is not that crazy of a thing to do.

On a P38 it is...have you looked at down loading rave yet to work through electronics?...how did fuse1 blow and when? It was OK when you were driving as you must of had instruments working did it blow when you were removing stereo?...

I bought it with no gauges working, just flickering a bit, and stereo not working.
