Hello,
ALL criminals are as low as each other as they all have something in
common - there are no class distinctions between them. They all affect
people in different ways. If police wanted to catch drunk drivers, all they
would have to do is give people leaving a pub car park driving a vehicle a
breath test. Or anyone seen leaving a pub getting into a car to drive
rather than getting a taxi. They could do if they wanted. For some reason
they choose not to. I certainly wouldn't object as I think the limits
should be changed so that people drinking are not allowed to drive with
alcohol in the blood stream. That opens up the problem of drugged drivers,
often on illegal substances or even PRESCRIPTION drugs. Then get shut of
people that don't wear glasses to drive, have slow reactions or are far too
old! People are not meant to use mobile phones but still do when driving,
what next no talking in the car !
I am not sure where you get the quoted statistic from, but I would say it is
incorrect. It probably only applies to a person being on a road on which a
drunk driver is using a car, and there may be no murderers out on the same
road at the same time to compare!
I have seen more murders that people being killed by drunk drivers in the
past 7 years. Although I have seen people killed by drugged/uninsured
drivers/boy racers/old people etc. The worst type for killing people seem
to be those that steal cars. Speeding careless motorbike drivers are also a
menace.
So i think you need to have a think about what you're saying!
