Yeah, anything that has low viscosity, and mixing it with an acid that reacts with the iron oxides will do. Don't have unlimited budget for this and would rather prefer spending the money on quality parts rather than excessively expensive commercial stuff.

Get it running first (it's all worth it then). Just do little bit at a time and select what is needed most first. Everybody with 50yrs experience started somewhere, plus you have all the knowledge and help on here of the people that already do
That was what I did when I got mine. I fixed the immediate problems to make it drivable and safe first, then my plan was to tackle the look of the thing but actually I became quite fond of its shabby appearance. I'm not knocking anyone who has restored an old landy back to showroom condition, they look great but if I did that to mine, I'd be scared to use it.Get it running first (it's all worth it then).
