I don't know if this is the right place to ask

Hey.

I am thinking of getting a defender in the next 2 months. I am constantly researching and learning on what to look for and how to repair them and such. I have also been to a few dealers and 1 specialist (simmonites).

I know this may be a far ask but is there anybody in the West Yorkshire area that could assist me when looking at land rovers. I feel if I learn from someone experienced I know what to look for and I will get the best I possibly can.

Mods if this is the wrong place to post this then please remove it and point me to the right direction!

Republic of Ireland, if you pay me my flight and accommodation, I will be delighted to tell you all the mistakes that I have made over the years. It won't help you much, but I could enjoy a good break. Good luck with your search. There have been numerous articles in the LR magazine which, if you can trace them, will certainly give you a lot of good guidance

Yeah I hope. If anybody wanted I would throw a few bob their way for some good advice and maybe to go look at a few landys incase there is anything extra I need to look for or anything. I know I need either a TD5 or a 300TDI and the main things to check are the turrets, crossmember and bulkhead. Chassis too.
