hi - have a recent 1997 defender 90 ex military and love it :) - may i ask the members a few questions - its 24v any advice on trickle chargers, isolator switches (and what side of terminals +ve or -ve as I have conflicting info) and any other qwerks on a 24v model - many thanks

If it's ex military and 24volt then it may be one of the ffr fitted for radio style of vehicles.

Best way to confirm battery polarity is to measure it.

Battery isolation... Best fitted in the positive feed from the battery on cars with a negative earth to the body.
 
thanks folks the question was should i fit the isolator on the positive or negative thanks
any recommendation on switches / also trickle charger to buy
