It was nice an Sunny on Wednesday afternoon so I had the drivers window open and the sunroof tilted. Got home and forgot to close the window etc. It ****ed down all night. Went to go to work and found a puddle on the drivers seat. Shut the window and roof and used the spare car to go to work. Got home and found the n/s/r window open and the petrol flap open. Switched ignition on and was greeted with a list of faults. These include abs fault, gearbox fault, fuse 6,7,17, n/s/r window not set. Other faults include totally dead hevac and air suspension controls.
The window motor has burnt out and there is a strong burning smell from the engine fuse box.
Do you think some of these faults are becm related? or would a new fuse box and window motor sort it.

Water + Electric = Broken !

Feel for you bud !

worst thing you could have done was turn the ignition on ! ! !

best thing i think you can do is disconnect the battery ASAP !, roll it into your garage and run a gas space heater on in the garage for a day or so untill it dries out - the damage is only done when the circuits are live - if they get dried out before being switched on they should be fine :(
good luck ;)

may i just say, yes you are!!! there's a lazy lock on the range rover, hold the key lock button for a few extra seconds and you'll never have to worry about the windows open!:D:rolleyes:

do the l322's incorperate this "lazy" feature or does it need to be programmed on by the dealer ?
